Jimmy Choo Designer Jonathan Kelsey and Singer Estelle Create New Belvie Bag

Former Jimmy Choo designer Jonathan Kelsey has joined forces with Belvedere vodka and British soul singer Estelle to develop the Belvie bag. The limited edition purse is tailor-made for all the divas out there with its gold accents and dramatic cross-stitching details.

Estelle has the rockstar cred to pull this look off, but I'm not sure us mere mortals would be so lucky. Those accents really pop against the white leather fabric, and there are so many of them. Barely a square inch has survived unscathed. A little gold can look elegant and rich, but here there's so much that it simply looks tacky.

If you're brave enough to carry this handbag, I suggest pairing it with neutrals like Estelle. It's a purse that demands to shine in the spotlight.

The $1,400 price tag seems a little exorbitant in this current financial climate, but the limited edition status is likely to inspire sales nonetheless. It's available at Jeffrey New York and at Belvedere Black Raspberry pop-up stores in New York and Los Angeles.
