The queen of minimalism Jil Sander is back to her design roots with this coral leather satchel.

This is a purse which delivers exactly what we'd expect from a bag of this style. Its lines are clean and smooth, and its dual rolled handles give it a fun retro feel. In fact, this handbag could so easily have appeared ordinary if Jil Sander's hadn't shocked us with that coral pink color.

Coral could never be accused of being a classic shade. It's that loud tone that is likely to polarize bagistas, but I have a feeling that's just how Jil Sander likes things.

The interior is a little easier to love, with its generous dimensions and convenient wall pockets. There's the usual fare here, a zippered pocket for loose change and valuables and two open pouches for gadgets, but these compartments do the job.

But there's just no getting around that color, a shade which you'll struggle to wear unless your wardrobe looks like Elle Woods' closet. You'll need her lawyer salary too if you hope to own this satchel, because at a whopping $2390 retail it doesn't come cheaply.
