After rumors started to swirl yesterday, Halston has been quick to confirm the good news: Sarah Jessica Parker will partner up with the iconic fashion brand.

The Sex and the City star will take on an active design role working on the Halston Heritage line. This is the brand's secondary collection, which features updated Halston pieces at modern price points. While Halston has not announced her official title at this point, many suggest she may even be named as creative director!

It seems like a great fit to me. As Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker become a contemporary style icon, a reputation she cemented when she created the Bitten line for Steve & Barry. Halston is all about gorgeous draping, sexy cuts, and bold colors, the very things SJP herself has been praised for! I know we'll be waiting for a while, but I'm dying to see the fruits of this creative collaboration.
