We've all seen those best friend necklaces, which are divided in half for two special gal pals. But the Hollywood set tends to do things on a much grander scale. High School Musical starlets Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale sealed their friendship with matching Louis Vuitton handbags.

“My biggest splurge was a purse from Louis Vuitton,” Vanessa says in the latest issue of Self magazine.  “Ashley Tisdale and I each got one on different colors when we were on tour in Mexico. We call it our friendship purse.”

The girls both own Louis Vuitton Cuir Embossed Stephen bags. Vanessa's is a delicious caramel color, while Ashley opted for a demure ivory purse. No matter what the shade, they're a lot more stylish than those traditional necklaces. Oh to be rich and famous!

The best part is that these luxury handbags will continue to look chic even if the friendship falters!
