Twelve of Iowa's most creative artists have decorated Francesco Biasia handbags for the Getting a Handle on Life silent auction. All proceeds raised benefit the Courier's online women's showcase.
Contributing artists include Gena Ollendieck, Paco Rosic, Mary Frisbee Johnson, and Bill Close.
Formerly a live event, the tough economy has forced organizers to change tact and put the auction online. That's good news for fashion fans around the world who would love to own one of these original artistic purses.
"This change has allowed us to develop something completely new and exciting, allowing our readers and advertisers to participate. Everyone can be a part of the online excitement online over an extended period of time, giving readers the opportunity to visit the event when it best fits their schedules," explained Angela Dark, Courier marketing manager.
