Online handbag store Elemental Threads is one of the first web retailers to team up with ShopGreen. This new online application allows customers to purchase carbon offsets to reduce the environmental impact of their new accessory.

Innovation is nothing new to Elemental Threads. Unlike most purse stores, the website offers fully customizable accessories. With shoppers selecting the bag type, fabric, lining, and hardware, they can create a handbag that truly reflects their signature style.

Customers can then choose to donate an additional 1% of their order to reduce the carbon footprint created by their new purse's production. Shoppers can choose from eight different carbon offset projects and see the pounds of carbon dioxide that will be offset.
