The super soft black leather is textured in such a way that it resembles the metal mesh that was so popular in the disco days. The effect is mesmerizing and luxurious, but in a tongue-in-cheek sort of a way that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The pleating on the bag gives it volume and shows off this excellent material by allowing its faceted surface to catch the light from different angles.
The chain embellishment that encircles the top of the bag does a number of things for the look. It brings out the shiny facets of the leather, gives it a little modern edginess, and really pulls the whole look together so that while it has a little disco flavor, it doesn’t look like a dated throwback accessory.
