Children’s Artwork Becomes Jute Shopping Bag with Big Stitch

33 sec read

Proud moms can now show off their children’s artworks in the school yard with cute customized handbags from Big Stitch. The company is the brainchild of Kate Stedman and Sally Maine, two British moms who wanted to put the time their kids were in school to good use.

The UK brand makes eco-friendly jute shopping bags featuring the embroidered artwork of budding Picassos. Parents simply e-mail or post their tot’s drawings to the British company and they send the finished bag back within 14 working days.

The bags are a little basic, but their soft handles are sure to prove popular once the shoppers are loaded with heavy groceries.

Bags are available in medium and large sizes, with both costing £28.95 plus postage and handling. If you’re looking to reclaim more fridge space, you could also consider getting those other special pictures made into cushion covers, towels, bath mats, aprons, baby blankets, and bathrobes.
