This eye-catching Espasol clutch could only come from Celestina. While its finish is markedly different from the mosaics we're used to, no other brand is creating clutches with quite this level of luxury.
Metallics always make a bold evening statement. The copper finish here is compelling but the delicate filigree design softens the metal. It's girly and feminine rather than urban and edgy, entirely appropriate for that swanky evening soiree.
The swirls and curls of filigree are offset by the large crystal clasp. They're a little chunky for my tastes, particularly considering the fineness of the filigree finish, but if you're after attention-getting they certainly fit the bill. Ball clasps generally give the purse a vintage vibe, but the large gems create a more contemporary look.
There's no lining, so anything you stash inside will peek through the copper. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I'd refrain from carrying coins unless you want your purse to double as a rattle. The lack of shoulder strap is another practical downfall, as is the teensy-tiny interior.
They might be small gripes, but if I'm going to lay down $1325 I don't want any little niggles. The Espasol's finish may be perfection, but those other elements just aren't up to scratch.
