Burberry fans will swoon over the classic preppy style of this Haymarket Ellie Wallet. For the rest of us though, I think this purse is just a little too safe.

Burberry knows its market though, and they will be perfectly satisfied with the combination of classic tartan checks and chocolate brown leather. But I'm just a bit bored. The gold-toned D-ring does its best to add interest, yet I'm still left wanting more.

The interior attempts to deliver that, with a few cleverly laid out features. I like the separate coin purse and main compartment, both of which close with a snap. And on a purely superficial leather, the leather lining is lovely. But the two credit card slots just won't cut it for most modern girls.

Burberry knows its market, but it's not me. Frankly, if I'm going to spend a few hundred on a wallet I want more than this.
