Asos Limited Edition Handbags Celebrate Best of British

United Kingdom-based online fashion store Asos is bucking current economic trends, more than doubling its sales in the last year.

To celebrate, the proudly British company is toasting its heritage with a new limited edition handbag range. The Made in Great Britain collection sees Asos team with some of the country's hottest designers. Liberty and Thomas Pink are amongst the creative mind collaborating with the e-tailer on the range.

"We are celebrating that we are a UK company. We have had fun with it but it has a serious message," said Asos' chief executive Nick Robertson.

He's predicting the patriotic purses will be a big hit with the website's growing international fan base. Asos' global sales rose 173% year on year in the last month, an amazing feat considering the current economic downturn.

Limited edition Made in Great Britain bags will be available exclusively through Asos' online store this summer.
