American West adds a thoroughly fashionable twist to its traditional tooled leather handbags, by building leopard print into this sexy crossbody.

Before I wax lyrical about the looks, let me go over the practical elements of this zip top bag. Firstly the leather will be durable and strong, although obviously the inclusion of a printed hair-on cow hide may make it fall victim to a certain amount of wear and tear. The long strap too is useful, but this is nothing in comparison to the number of pockets you get. Not just the one obvious front pocket, but a back slip pocket, an interior zip pocket, and two pouches. This is seriously organized, taking this American West purse into satchel domains. Impressive!

As for the looks, well I love them. Leopard print can be overpowering (and, granted, some people will never wear it), but the limited amount means that is isn't totally over-the-top. My only hesitation, therefore, is in the unusual tooling of the leather. I just can't make my mind up about whether the multiple textures clash or coordinate.
