Alaia Suede Shoulder Bag I've often admired Alaia’s accessories, but I think that the label's gotten a bit lazy with this Suede Shoulder Bag.

This isn't a bad bag, but it is a bit boring. The suede is lovely and soft, but the chocolate brown shade makes it a bit dull. The shape is timeless but also a bit pedestrian. Some girls may love its clean look, but I just wish there was something here to get me excited. It all adds up to a bag that might not go out of fashion, but also won't impress. And frankly, for $1395 I want to be impressed!

As I said, I can't really fault this bag. Its straps are long enough to easily sit on your shoulder, and it's packed with enough pockets to keep us organized. Its very well made, and luxurious too with its leather lining. The base really deserves metal feet, as suede is notoriously easy wearing, but it's the only obvious oversight.

Oh, except for style. This shoulder bag really needs more pizzazz to justify such a high price tag. It might not have the Alaia name attached, but I'm sure you could find a comparable brown suede bag for far less.
