The devil’s in the details here, and those details are delicious. The gently rounded bucket shape is lovely, especially in black nubuck. This underappreciated material has all of the softness of suede, without its easy propensity for showing wear and tear. I love the way that material makes the Hudson’s silhouette even softer. The style is capped off with glazed leather strapping dotted with bold brass buttons. The accents have a distinctive military feel which helps to separate the Hudson from the pack.
The Hudson’s main compartment is spacious, but a few key elements help make it manageable. The array of zip and slip pockets are just what we need to stay organized. The brightly colored interior also helps us easily see what we’re carrying. The shoulder strap is also longer than the average, and flat too, so it should feel comfortable on your shoulder and stay put when you’re on the go.
The Twelfth St. line is always a bit cheaper than Cynthia Vincent’s signature collection, and at $395 this shoulder bag is no exception. It’s always great to get a bargain, but even better when it looks as stylish as this!
