I have to admit that Stella McCartney isn’t one of my favorite accessory designers. I appreciate her commitment to environmental and animal causes, but her eco-materials often don’t make for the best designs. This has been particularly true of the Falabella line. But, surprisingly, this crochet version is remarkable cute.
I’m not even a big fan of crochet, honestly. It’s a little sweet and feminine for my particular style, but this version is so well done that it’s almost irresistible. Plus, the chain accents toughen the look up a lot and keep the bag from appearing too saccharine.
The hobo shape is basically the same as the rest of the line. It’s a flat enough hobo, but the fluidity of the fabric gives it a bit of slouchiness, nonetheless. This version of the Falabella is by far my favorite. I really dig the combination of softness and heavy metal. It’s not the most practical bag in the world, but it’s got a definite style all its own that a lot of women will love.
