It is rare that you see a minaudiere that isn’t metallic, or shiny, or made out of some obscure hard substance. To see one made out of straw is even rarer.
Yet that is exactly what this Serpui Marie clutch is made of: straw. A delicate miniature weave of this glossy hot pink straw, which somehow manages to transform a very down to earth substance into something undeniably fancy. That means that despite me gearing myself up to be uncertain of this box clutch, I am actually quite impressed, and think that it looks luxurious!
For $145 it had better be luxurious, as that is a lot of money for a straw purse. However, the gorgeous pebble shape and cute spherical clasp makes up for any pricey qualities, although many people will feel a lack of expensive materials means no amount of design can justify an expensive price tag.
