I haven’t seen any new Cavalli bags for months, but boy am I glad I waited for this one. It’s a pretty crucial combination of sleek styling and exotic materials. Who could ask for more?
I’m always complaining about faux exotic materials. They so seldom make the grade. This croc effect leather, however is better than the real thing. It’s less expensive for one thing, and no possibly endangered species had to give their lives for it. Win-win.
The style is nice and easy. There’s absolutely nothing complicated about it. I do like how sharp all the corners are, though, it really reinforces the beautiful texture of the leather. The color is graduated, just like the real thing, and the antiqued brass hangtag is the perfect tiny bit of embellishment.
Okay, so I might ask for a better price. $1,060 is a bit high, even for a designer leather tote.
