Rebecca Minkoff gives a retro edge to the studded trend with the Roadie bag.
Rather than overdosing on the metal, Rebecca Minkoff shows remarkable restraint by keeping the studs on the top. The silver circles, in various sizes, work together to create a striking abstract pattern. By containing the studs here, Rebecca Minkoff gives her Roadie a contemporary look which should outlast the trends.
The playful bird-print inner lining is a delightful contrast to the mostly plain exterior. This roomy space is made easier to manage with a sizable zippered pocket and three open slips. That’s a little more than the average, which should please gadget-loving girls. If you’re looking for more storage room, you can make use of the large zippered pocket on the back.
The shoulder strap is incredibly long, making it suitable for over-the-shoulder toting and cross-body wear. But I can’t quite work out why it’s removable. While some bags benefit from a clutch conversion, this isn’t one of them. It’s far too large to comfortably carry by hand, so I’d guess the strap will stay put for most of us.
The Roadie is available for a relatively affordable $287.50.
