Oryany Handbags gives us the look of exotic snake print for less with this sexy Samantha tote.
I probably wouldn’t have mistaken this tote for real snakeskin, but I admit that I had to look twice to see it’s made of fabric. This patterned poly-cotton does a good job of masquerading as embossed leather, but it weighs a lot less. That’s a good thing for a tote of this size, which could easily become ungainly in a thicker material.
While it doesn’t look so authentic, I don’t mind the appearance of the beige snakeskin scales. The brown leather trim and handles are a great complement to the serpentine print, but I’m not so enthusiastic about the hardware. It seems to bog down those straps, making them appear too cluttered against the already busy pattern.
We get an awful lot of bag for our dollar here, which is always a bit of a double-edged sword. Many girls love an accessory which can comfortably fit any item they might like to carry, while others hate to be weighed down. At least Oryany gives us more pockets inside and out than most designers, so this expansive space is easier to keep organized than most.
The Samantha will never speak to everyone, but if you love to walk on the wild side this tote may be the one for you.
