I’ve had a really back and forth relationship with Miu Miu’s bags over the past few years. They’re usually really expensive and, unfortunately, seldom seem worth it. This leather and suede hobo is expensive, but it’s pretty cool if you’re into hippie chic and have the pocketbook to back it up.
The colors are really well chosen, for one thing. The olive suede has a lush velvety look, which goes beautifully with the weathered brown leather. I’m not entirely convinced that the black accents were necessary, but they aren’t distracting, either.
The shape of the bag is great. I really love flap front hobos, as they are slightly more structured and easy to manage than the open top variety. The bag still manages to look slouchy and casual in a really appealing way. The only thing I really question about the design is the rolled leather handle. It seems like it would just fall right off your shoulder.
At $1,350, this is a pricey boho accessory, and frankly, I think you might be able to do better unless it hits your aesthetic right on the mark.
