Celebrities love the whimsical and sophisticated Miu Miu Coffer. Bad girl Lindsay Lohan, who was the face of Miu Miu’s 2007 ad campaign, has been seen with it, as well as bombshell Demi Moore and America’s sweetheart Reese Witherspoon. Which is all to say that this little lovely appeals to a wide variety of A-list tastes, and will probably do the same out here in the “real world”.
I love everything about this bag from its braided leather handle down to its futuristic silver hinge and lock clasp. The pleating on the bag is done with extreme attention to detail, and I love how the wrinkles set off the smooth sheen of the black leather.
The two press stud closure exterior pockets aren’t just a practical way to keep your little necessities organized, they also add another layer of delicious detail to this heavily designed, but still elegant, handbag. The top flap closure opens to a generous interior with an inside zipper pocket.
To make it even more versatile, the Coffer comes with a detachable shoulder strap, just in case you fill its 11.75″ x 15″ x 2.5″ capacity to the brim, and can’t bear to carry it by hand anymore. The only possible drawback I see is the slimness of the shoulder strap. It may not actually be that comfortable if you really do pack this bag to the top.
Still, shoulder strap or no, I would carry the Coffer anywhere and everywhere!
