I just don’t know what to think about Miu Miu. Sometimes its accessories are so extraordinarily ugly and overpriced that I swear I’m going to stop paying attention to the line altogether, but then sometimes they’re really classic and perfect. Fortunately, this leopard print calf hair clutch is of the latter designation.
I love leopard print, especially when it’s a little subdued and classy instead of being flashy and trashy. The pattern is a little blurred and abstracted, partially due to the print, but partially due to the texture of the calf hair. I don’t always love calf hair, but it’s such a great complement to animal print that I just love it here.
The petite size of this clutch makes it extremely usable. This is the kind of bag you could carry and not feel burdened at all, which makes it perfect for nightclubbing, when you want to dance without setting your bag down. Or, if you’re a light packer like me, it’s just a great everyday bag. The large gold clasp adds a lot of drama to the clutch, and it brings the whole classy but sassy look together perfectly.
Frankly, I think that $950 is a lot to pay for a tiny, simple bag such as this, but it’s cool factor almost makes it seem worth it.
