Marc Jacobs is one of my favorite designers ever. I love the way he combines street smarts with clean design. This pocket leather tote is one of the most simple, and most perfect, accessories that I’ve seen all season.
The dark taupe color of the leather is really more of a rich, nutty gray. The color is great because it’s dark and neutral, and it will go equally well with browns and black. The gold-toned hardware is sort of a surprising choice for the bag, but it keeps all the colors looking warm and wearable.
The shape of this tote is what I’m really digging. This is the kind of take everywhere bag that’s actually worth a significant investment. It’s simple and totally practical, but also beautiful. I love the addition of the side pockets, which are perfect for stowing your phone and keys. The multiple strap options are also ideal.
For most of us, $530 is a big deal to spend on a bag. But for all of us, having a bag that you can take anywhere at anytime is definitely a big deal.
