The snake tempted Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, but does this Eden Suzette purse from Lodis tempt you?
The label has kept the style of this purse simple, preferring instead to let the mottled snakeskin print do the talking. That’s a smart move, because this serpentine print is anything but subtle. It’s not the best snake imitator that I’ve seen, but there’s a certain charm to the complementary lavender and gray hues. I also appreciate that while we don’t get genuine snakeskin, we do have real leather. While this might not have the prestige of an exotic, it’ll be much more durable.
That’s a good thing, because with its large dimensions it’s tempting to load up this clutch purse. You’ll be able to fit in much more than your average evening purse, and with a zip pocket and slots for your cell phone and PDA clutter should be kept at a minimum.
Just make sure you don’t go too crazy. There’s no shoulder strap to help you out, so you’ll need to manage this purse by hand. That’s a shame, because if we could only utilize all this room the Eden Suzette could have been a great day-to-night option.
Still, at $168 the price is right for a purse which will look just as good with an evening frock or a pair of dark denim jeans.
