Linea Pelle adds some sophisticated style to the hobo bag with the Perry.
Ever since Bottega Veneta began churning out its covetable woven handbags, the finish has become synonymous with luxury. Rather than creating a Bottega wannabe in the Perry, Linea Pelle has given the weave its own personality. The intricate finish is so striking, I wish Linea Pelle had continued it on the back. The Italian leather is lovely, but after seeing the weave on the front the plain finish just looks boring. I guess the brand had to cut a few corners to keep the price down to a reasonable $395, but I wish it hadn’t done it on the exterior.
The weave doesn’t just look good; it also gives the Perry more structure than your typical hobo bag. This makes the hobo appear more sophisticated, and ensures it’s easy to get your goodies in and out of the generously sized interior. It’s kitted out with a pair of open pockets and a secure zippered one, so it’s fairly easy to organize. It should fit all the items you need on a day to day basis with some space to spare.
If you’ve got the budget for a Bottega original, you probably wouldn’t glance twice at this hobo, but if you’re a bit more frugal this Perry hobo helps you get that look for less.
