When writing about the Jessica McClintock Leaf Embossed clutch last week, I thought the nature inspired purse was quirky and individual. However after spotting this La Regale evening bag, I’m beginning to sense a trend.
The leaf isn’t as abstract as it was on the Jessica McClintock purse. Here the accent is a striking style feature, helping to break up the simple white clutch with its colored beads. The springtime hues might not be ideal for this season, but if you pair it with a flattering neutral outfit, or even a patterned ensemble in the same tones, I think you could get away with it.
This clutch has a fairly simple flap style, but it’s got a few quirks that make it quite unique. The flap has an original geometric shape, and I like the gentle pleats that peek out from underneath it. It’s also unusual to see the beading restricted to the flap. I don’t mind this though, as it’s a lovely contrast to the gently pearlized synthetic.
If leaf purses are indeed a trend, you probably won’t find a cheaper way to get in on it. This Le Regale clutch is very affordable at $42.
