Even if you’re not a fan of horseback riding and, like me, have no idea how a pelham bit works, you’ll most likely still appreciate this equestrian-style Gucci handbag inspired by the riding equipment.
I’m not usually a fan of Gucci’s slightly preppy, logo-printed collections. However there’s something about this one that I kind of like. The inverted double-g symbol that repeats throughout the pattern is just subtle enough to not be overly obnoxious, as often these types of print tend to be.

The a-line shape naturally lends itself to extra storage, although I wouldn’t think that the curved bottom makes it an easy bag to set down. I can’t help but imagine it rocking back and forth or falling right over. However, that might not be much of an issue since I’m sure many owners of Gucci handbags don’t have a tendency to set their treasures down just anywhere.
The English riding inspiration for the shoulder bag is seen on the braided handles as well as the horse-bits on the front and back of the purse. The cream-colored leather on these details is a nice, light contrast to the brown and beige print. Overall, the Pelham is a classy, little number that will appeal to plenty of Gucci-loving gals.
