The SAK has impressed me yet again with the Peaced, another cute purse from its affordable freeBird label.
While most diffusion lines seem like poor imitations of the big boys, freeBird bags have enough interesting features to make them appealing on their own merits. Here we’ve got a surprising geometric quilted body, which makes a lovely change of pace from traditional diamond stitching. I also like the unusual toggles which hang casually from the removable cross-body strap.
I’m not sure why this strap is detachable though, as the Peaced is far too large for hand-held clutching. That’s especially true if you take advantage of the bag’s ample space. The generously sized interior is packed with a trio of open pouches and a zippered pocket. One of these could no doubt handle your cell phone, but I’d prefer to carry it in the zippered pocket on the back. Here it’ll sit snugly against your body, so set it to vibrate to ensure you never miss a call.
We’re spoiled for choice with the Peaced, which is available in six different shades. They’re not all winners; the pyrite bag is a bit too glitzy, and the bright lipstick pink will only appeal to the girliest of girls. But I do love the summery appeal of the sherbet-toned daisy yellow and burnt orange.
