Accessorize serves up an affordable alternative to those red carpet minaudieres with this Emb Hardcase Heart.
No one will ever mistake this clutch for a Judith Leiber original, but it certainly takes its cues from her glitzy creations. However Accessorize has made some clever design decisions which see this Hardcase Heart costing a lot less. Rather than Austrian crystals Accessorize has used beads and sequins. They’re nowhere near as luxurious, but they act as convincing mimics, especially at a distance.
Just like those high class purses, this heart-shaped clutch values style over practicality. It’s petite, and its novelty heart shape further limits storage space. And that hard case that we love so much also means overstuffing is out. That clip closure will simply pop open if it’s put under strain.
It’s a shame Accessorize hasn’t given us a shoulder strap. Without one, we’re left clutching this purse by hand, which makes those beads a bit more vulnerable. They’re stitched on, but with a bag at this price point you have to worry about their security.
There is an element of getting what you pay for, but at just ₤45 this purse is a great way to look the part without sinking into a mountain of debt.
