Its name might not be so imaginative, but at least this is a purse that delivers just what we expect. It has a simple wallet shape, but it’s livened up by the playful teal color and flirty double bow. Often Accessorize’s use of synthetic feels like a real compromise, but I’m not so critical here. Its pebbled finish does a great job at imitating leather, and its stiffer feel gives the bows an appealing structure.
The bows make the Edie feel very retro retro, but inside it’s a thoroughly modern creature. It’s large array of card slots should please even the most seasoned shopaholic, while the separate coin and note compartments should help even the most scatterbrained one stay organized. It’s a shame we have to turn the wallet about to access the cards and coins, but that’s the nature of the beast. Just make sure you zip up the coin compartment to make sure your shrapnel doesn’t go astray!
