Miu Miu Matelasse Leather Zipper Clutch I'm a big fan of Miu Miu's line of Matelasse bags. In fact, they're some of my favorite bags of the season. Unfortunately, this particular version is a little too cute and pink for a high end designer bag.

The color is the first thing that went wrong with this bag. I don't have anything against pink, but this soft pink is a little bit too saccharine to be elegant. The Matelasse treatment doesn't really help matters in this case, either. The quilting only makes this icky pink look wrinkly and even less sophisticated. To top it all off, it's lined in purple fabric.

The shape of this clutch is also a little bit troubling. The simple pouch shape might work with another color, but in this one, it just looks like a cosmetics bag. I just don't see Miu Miu selling many of these bubblegum bags at $385. Unless you have a small child to buy a Christmas gift to buy for a little girl who's really into princesses, I'd just ignore this style entirely.
