Miu Miu is a fashion house whose output can best be described as uneven; for every hit, there's always a miss or more. Thankfully this Aviator bag falls into the former camp.

The Aviator has been one of Miu Miu's best loved handbag styles for years, so perhaps it's not a great surprise that I've warmed to this one. Each season Miu Miu tweaks the style a bit, adding a little embellishment or experimenting with the skin. The variations here are what makes this Aviator something extra special. The round studs bordering the flap give it real flair, and that rich blue nappa leather would look darling with jeans.

Open up the push lock closure to reveal a luxuriously large main compartment. There's enough space for everything that you need and then some here, but be prepared to scrounge around for small items. With only a single zippered pocket inside, this bag could easily become a black hole if you're not a natural organizer.

But boy it's gorgeous, and if I had a spare $1595 lying around I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. More of this please Miu Miu!
