Melie Bianco Melissa Hobo Melie Bianco embraces its feminine side with this flirty Melissa hobo.

Ordinarily designers make their bags girly by covering them in sequins and bows and crafting them in sugary pink fabrics. But Melie Bianco takes a more atypical approach. This one is pink, but it's a dusty shade that's much subtler than a fuchsia or bubblegum hue. And if that's too obvious for you, you can always choose the Melissa in black.

Its body is cut to resemble lace, which is ruffled in soft cascading tiers. Its polyurethane material looks a bit cheap, and of course it is. I can't help wishing the bag was available in a skin that wasn't so shiny or thin, but for an affordable $80 we take what we can get.

All too often girly bags are all surface, but not the Melissa. She's luxuriously large and lined in pretty polka dotted material. The interior is kitted out with a zippered pocket and pair of drop pouches, and if you're still looking for space to store valuables there's a zippered pocket on the back. I'm not too sure of the look of those ruched handles, but they're bound to be comfortable to carry.

The Melissa's not the most luxurious bag on the block, but it makes a big style statement for just a little cash.
