There’s certainly no ignoring this lurid fluorescent orange purse. There’s likely to be no losing it either, as you could probably spot it from several feet away! Marni knows a color like this needs nothing else, so it keeps the design simple with just a couple of large press studs and a basic front flap.
This isn’t a purse for shopaholics though, as its features are somewhat limits. There’s a zippered compartment for coins, and a single open pouch for cards and receipts, but that’s it. I couldn’t quite believe it either. Perhaps fans of minimalist design will embrace the pared back configuration, but when it comes to wallets I want more.
I’m sorry Marni, but my obsession with all things 80s still won’t convince me to spend $245 on this wallet. For that price I could buy a more practical wallet, and have a whole lot of change left over. I’m disappointed, but retro looks alone can’t convince me to part with my cash.
