Marni's quirky take on the trends often makes its accessories must-have items.  This leather and silk embellished bag is no exception. It's a totally chic evening bag with a modern bohemian vibe.

This bag has so many layers and textures that it's a little bit difficult to describe. The body of the bag is silk, but you can't see it through all the embellishment. The pale orange and iridescent sequins are arranged in a fascinating pattern that looks almost tribal. The unfinished wooden bead accents enhance the look, and bring it down to earth a little.

The unusual pentagonal shape of the bag is set off with the brass frame and clasp. The rolled leather handle is substantial, and will do well to carry the weight of the bag. Unfortunately, it looks a little clunky and out of place with the rest of the design. Also, I'm not sure that the deep brown leather was the right choice to complement the light, delicate colors of the rest of the bag.

At $1,260, this bag is pretty pricey for something that you won't really get to use that often. It's not a particularly versatile bag, even though it has a unique beauty.
