Lauren Merkin's Eve clutch is one of the label's classics, available in a range of fabrics including raffia, organza, linen and exotic embossed leathers. But I think my favorite is this glam woven ribbon purse.

Like its sisters, it has a classic clutch shape with subtle pleated details. But you won't be looking at those. The woven satin ribbon finish steals the spotlight, giving the purse a rich textured finish. The interlocking pattern is asymmetrical for a little extra edge.

The Eve isn't as large as many modern clutches we've seen, but I think that's also one of its strengths. While it may not have the day-to-night versatility of the oversized purses, its subtle size is a better match for your evening attire. It's the right size and shape to sit in your palm or tuck under your arm. It's a good thing too, because unlike many new season clutches there is no extra shoulder strap.

At $225 retail this one of the more expensive Eve clutches, but its unique good looks tempt me to splurge!
