Botkier Lake Satchel

Botkier Lake SatchelActress Lake Bell has teamed up with Monika Botkier to create The Lake Satchel. 50% of the proceeds from sales of the limited edition bag will benefit Oxfam International and its efforts to end poverty around the world.

The designers wanted to create a bag that was big enough to handle everything girls need, but small enough to easily carry across the body. It’s got a real seventies feel to it with its softened silhouette, turn-lock clasp and earthy colorblocked design, yet it still looks fresh as a daisy.

It’s got the little extras that help to convince me to part with my money. It’s really well appointed, with patch pockets on the front and back, another pair inside, plus a zippered pocket and a detachable key hook. The shoulder straps are a little shorter than I’d like, but with a cross-body strap ready and waiting that isn’t a real concern.

The Lake Satchel’s combination of suede and leather is so striking, yet neutral enough to work with any outfit for years to come. I always approach celebrity designed purses with a healthy dose of skepticism, but I don’t mind admitting that I’m enamored with this one.

The Lake Satchel is available for $495 exclusively through Shopbop.
