Kathy Van Zeeland Jet Setter Ball Shopper | Silver Casual Synthetic Patchwork Letter Handbag

Posted on: Sep 14

This Jet Setter shopper from Kathy Van Zeeland looks made for girls on the go, but is it really the travel bag it appears to be?

Despite its name, I don't think so. The biggest problem here is its size. While it's not a small purse by any means, its dimensions are more suited to everyday use than weekends away. It also doesn't have as many features as I'd hope for. To be fair Kathy Van Zeeland does deliver more than she generally does, with a zippered center compartment and pockets on the side walls But I'd love some features designed with travel in mind, like passport wallets, key fobs, and other handy bibs and bobs.

Perhaps this shopper should be viewed as an option for wannabe jet setters, rather than those clocking up frequent flier miles. They're likely to make use of the tote's features without feeling shortchanged.

Even if you have your feet planted firmly on the ground, it still may not be your bag. If you've never been a fan of Kathy Van Zeeland's brash designs, the Jet Setter isn't likely to change your mind. The playful letter patches are whimsical against the glitzy silver synthetic body. They really could have stood alone, but Kathy Van Zeeland adds rows of studs for good measure.

At $99 this is a well priced shopper, so long as you don't expect it to fulfill all your travel needs.
