For an affordable clutch that can easily take you from day to night, look no further than the Lilly purse from Jessica Simpson.
This clutch won’t work for a posh soiree, but if you’re taking in a movie or hitting a club its urban styling will fit right in. I was beginning to suffer from stud fatigue, but I think the metal has been cleverly used here. The polished gold domes with their slightly menacing points look edgy but smart against the black synthetic body.
I was a little disappointed in the subdued color palette chosen here as I expect something a bit sunnier from the pop star’s line, but at least you won’t struggle to incorporate the conservative tones into your wardrobe.
This is a great mid-sized purse with more pockets than you’d expect in an accessory with these dimensions. It easily converts from clutch to cross-body with the addition of a long strap, so you can easily work it with jeans during the day or a more dressed-up outfit in the evening.
Jessica Simpson doesn’t offer real luxury here, but for a mere $38 I’m impressed with the Lilly’s style.
