Inge Christopher Havana East West Clutch | Wooden Beaded Ivory Tribal Purse

Inge Christopher Havana

Inge Christopher HavanaInge Christopher goes tribal with this east west style Havana clutch.

Inge Christopher has always loved beading, but he typically favors delicate colored accents. The wooden beads used here are much more rustic, which lends the Havana more to daytime use than evening wear. I can imagine it really coming into its own during summer, but paired with the right outfit you could probably work it all year round.

The beads create an ethnic inspired criss-cross pattern which mimics the purse’s woven fabric body. This pale natural shade gives the greatest contrast and really allows the beading to stand out, but the Havana is also available in persimmon, moss green, and espresso if you prefer.

Clutches are typically equipped with delicate chain straps, which dig into bare shoulders and cause unsightly marks. So I was thrilled to see Inge Christopher opting for a more comfortable material strap. This handle is also decorated with beads, so it looks like a cohesive part of the design rather than an afterthought. It’s a convenient addition, but if you’d prefer to clutch your purse the old fashioned way you can simply tuck it inside.

At $220 this clutch’s price is on the high side, but if your wardrobe is full of boho staples you’d probably get enough use from it to justify the splurge.
