H&M Girl With The Dragon Tattoo LineWith the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo hitting cinemas later this year, plenty of fashionistas will be looking to replicate Lisbeth Salander’s edgy punk-goth style. Swedish retailer H&M will make their job much easier with the release of their new movie inspired fashion line.

We can expect a degree of authenticity in the collection as H&M has enlisted Trish Summerville, the costume designer for the David Fincher flick, for the project. The 30-piece range is dark and moody, with hooded jackets, slashed denim jeans, tribal inspired earrings, and androgynous footwear. The accessories component is a little light on, but we can channel the film’s heroine in the classroom with the battered backpacks.

Summerville said shes “pleased” with the collection, which she feels reinterprets Lisbeth’s essence and strength with a more fashion forward edge. However she wouldn’t suggest women dress head to toe in the new collection.

The goal is for women to find pieces in it that they love and then mix them with their own wardrobe to create their own personal style,” she explained.

H&M’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo collection will hit Colette in Paris on November 28 before being rolled out to H&M stores on December 14. Prices start at $3.95 for a pair of earrings and top $199 for a leather jacket.
