Givenchy Unveils Western Bondage Spring/Summer 2009 Collection

Givenchy has enlisted star fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Matadin Vinoodh for its spring/summer 2009 advertising campaign.

Lara Stone and Ana Claudia Michels look incredibly awkward in this shot, thanks to those terrible shoulder pads and their blank expressions. They might be gorgeous girls, but Lara and Ana Claudia are completely upstaged by the beauty of that oversized satchel bag. The rich textured finish is to die for, and that long shoulder strap offers some added practicality. I just hope it's not as heavy as Lara makes it look. Perhaps the Dutch model could lift it a little easier if she just had a decent feed!

This luscious purse is part of Givenchy new collection created by Riccardo Tisci. The range follows what the creative director calls a "Western bondage" theme. It has a distinctly Western vibe, but there's a splash of Parisian glamour.

The ad campaign also features exotic beauty Lakshmi Menon and smoldering brunette Mariacarla Boscono.
