Once a designer who loved to dabble in casual beach accessories, Felix Rey seems to have turned a glamorous new corner. Personally I’m thrilled with the fashion house’s chic new makeover. The Lola is another gorgeous example of the label’s brand new attitude.
Of course, not everyone will be as impressed as I am with this soft satin bow bag. Such a girly statement won’t appeal to conservative tastes, or those that prefer an edge in their accessories. But I’ve fallen for the Lola’s great big bow and rich jewel tones.
The Lola is larger than many clutches, so it should comfortably hold everything you need to enjoy an evening out. The zippered compartment and coin purse, with its vintage kiss-lock clasp, are inspired additions which make the Lola very user-friendly. The only downside in a practical sense is the lack of shoulder strap. You’re in for a night of old-fashioned clutching if the Lola is your evening companion.
Then again, if I had the Lola I might not want to let her go!
