Etienne Aigner has carved a reputation as the go-to brand for sensible and sophisticated handbags. They probably won't turn any heads, but you'll find yourself pulling them out of your closet season after season.

The Ridgedale is another example of the dependable handbags we expect from the brand. The traditional boxy shape is given a little equestrian flair with buckled belt accents and contrast stitching. The deep pleated pocket softens the look, but the saddle brown color ensures it never appears too girly. This gives the Ridgedale an everyday functionality. You could take it to any conservative office, or to a dinner date.

It's not a massive bag by today's standards, but there is enough space to carry the things most girls need to get through the day. The polyester lining is a little cheap, but I can't fault the features. Two open slip pockets and a zippered pouch are more than I'd expect to keep a space of this size organized.

When you consider the timeless appeal of the Ridgedale, its $108 price tag seems much more attractive than those expensive it bags!
