With more of us rejecting supermarket plastic bags in favor of our own eco-friendly totes, simple bags like this Juliette Market tote are becoming wardrobe staples.

The Juliette's style philosophy is to keep it simple, from the basic box shape to the long brown handles. The patterned body gives the Juliette a little personality, although the options don't really cater for many types of women. Sorry goth girls and hippie chicks; Emilie Sloan favors traditional florals and art deco designs. This raspberry bag is probably the most subtle, which is why it’s won my heart.

With such a basic look, the rather detailed interior took me by surprise. It's all fully lined in brown fabric to match the handles and comes with a magnetic snap to make sure your groceries stay put. I'm not sure a tote meant for shopping needs pockets in the walls, but I'm hardly going to complain about more features!

At $45 it's not as affordable as the cheap cloth bags that many grocery stores sell, but it offers much more.
