By changing the materials, the Elaine is transformed. The purse you see before you is a retro beauty, perfect for everyone from the cast of Mad Men through to those Stepford Wives! The duck egg crocodile print neatly defines the shape, as well as adding some curves to what is a very simple rectangular design. Then you have the little bamboo toggle: adorable, and such a pretty little touch.
The basket-weave means that this pale purse is definitely one for spring and summer. I would be worried about taking it out on a wet winter day, so you may want to delay its début until the warmer months. It is tightly woven though, and this may make this patent clutch a bit more durable.
