Chloe’s line of Marcie bags were instantly a hit with celebrities and fashionistas when they came out. This medium sized python version isn’t just my favorite of the bunch; it’s also my favorite exotic bag of the season.
The light brown python skin on this bag has extraordinary natural variation. The rich golden tones practically sparkle against the deep brown accents. The contrast is such that you can make out all the skin’s details easily.
While the actual shape of the Marcie hasn’t really changed, it looks most at home in this medium size. The gently undulating shape looks a little too round in the smaller version, and the larger version is just too big, as far as I’m concerned. Like baby bear’s porridge, this Marcie is just right.
I won’t lie to you. This level of luxury and style doesn’t come cheap. At $3,850, though, it’s reasonable given its It bag status and collectability.
