With the Tara clutch Bourne serves up classic glamour with a dose of bling.

The traditional box shaped purse is embellished with a Celtic inspired knot design. This pattern is further accented with a strip of glittering rhinestones. The success of these gems really depends on the shade you choose, and your personal preference. On the black bag the diamantes really stand out. It's too obvious for me, but it should suit girls who love a bold bag. If your taste is more conservative than mine, look to the Tara in pewter or this delicate lilac shade.

Box clutches are always more style than substance, and this one is no exception. While the satin is soft, overstuffing this purse will disturb its clean lines. You don't have a lot of space to play with, but with a little effort and some Tetris skills the Tara should be able to accommodate your party must haves.

As space is limited, I appreciate the removable strap. While a chain is always a plus, I hate cluttering my purse when the handle’s not in use. This gives us the best of both worlds; the convenience of hands-free carrying without compromising storage space. The serpentine strap should be more forgiving than a traditional chain too.

At $140, the Tara clutch is no impulse buy but it should serve you well, and turn a few heads, on your next evening out.
