Bourne takes us back to the 80s with this fun Dita Jeweled Box Bag.
There's a retro futuristic feel to the Dita. That's a strange thing to say, as it's certainly not cutting edge by today's standards. But I can just imagine a girl circa 1984 beaming at the angular organization of the stones and the gleaming metallic pale pink leather. At another time the Dita may have seemed dated, but as we're still enjoying an 80s renaissance this box bag seems strangely on trend.
As a child of the 80s, I find myself marveling at the geometric configuration of the stones, and that structured design. You could certainly carry it as a traditional box clutch, but there's also a serpentine strap when you want to go hands-free. This chain looks much more comfortable than the traditional silver linked variety we often see, so why not use it?
The Dita's a decent size, but its structured design makes it a bit smaller than it first appears. It's not the kind of purse you can overstuff as its clasp will pop open under pressure, so you might need to reevaluate what you mean by "evening essentials."
At $189.95 the Dita is no bargain, but it's also not exorbitant by evening bag standards either. And if you can manage to incorporate it into your daily wardrobe, I'm sure you'll see value for your dollar.
