Botkier Vixen Satchel | Lambskin Handbag with Lots of Details

55 sec read

This Vixen bag reminds me so much of the the Bianca satchel that I knew right away it must be Botkier. Though it is slightly reminiscent of the Treesje Asher as well, it definitely has a look that is much more similar to the Bianca.

The front ruched pocket is what stands out to me most about the Vixen. Thankfully Botkier decided to make this particular feature a single pocket instead of the awkward double ones on the Bianca. However, the ruching gives the front of both bags a sort of worn-in look that almost rings vintage but not quite.

The slouchy front pocket contrasts with the structured shape of the rest of the bag, though. The Vixen’s domed satchel silhouette with an arched front detail is like the Treesje Asher, but this Botkier handbag has a decidedly more California casual feel to it, in my opinion.

Details rule on the Vixen, and it certainly isn’t short on them. This satchel boasts everything from the aforementioned ruching to braided leather ropes, studded tassels, engraved hardware, and a unique elephant charm. No, you didn’t read that wrong … an elephant charm, which is another aspect of the Vixen that gives is that casual Bohemian vibe.

Coming in at $600, this Botkier bag will cost a pretty penny. However, if you’re looking for a large quality-leather designer purse with some interesting details, the Vixen is a great option. It also comes in a smaller hobo version.
